Long underwear, a petticoat and christening gowns, a 1940 Pennsylvania license plate and a candle-dipping wheel are among the more than 1,600 items that the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, or PHMC, no longer needs and will place up for auction on March 6.
Railroad buffs and model train collectors should be especially interested in the offerings. Included in the auction is a large selection of toy trains as well as memorabilia of the historic railroads that traversed the state.
