U.S. Coin Auction Realizes $8.7 million
Abamex Auction Company (www.abamex.com) announces the online auction of a large assortment of boutique European wines on behalf of a secured creditor, according to Olga Lemeni.
“These are European wines with a story,” said Lemeni, “from small hand picked wineries, distinctive flavors, traditional terroir-driven wines, most from France and Spain.”
The former importer / distributor of the wines closed business. The inventory was ordered sold on behalf of the secured creditor (lender).
“We have French wines from Alsace, Bordeaux, Beaujolais, Langedoc, Loire and Rhone,” explained Lemeni. “We also have Spanish wines from bodegas Javier Asensio, Valsanzo-Javier Rodriguez, bodegas Gosalbez Orti and others. These wines are highly rated wines by Wine Spectator.”
The wine is currently stored in a temperature controlled warehouse in the Atlanta area. By law, the wines cannot be purchased by residents of Georgia, or remain in the state of Georgia. Each buyer must purchase a minimum of 20 gallons.
The online auction is open to the public. Bidding will open September 21 and end over three days, September 28, 29 and 30, with approximately 200 lots closing each day. Bidders must register prior to bidding. For more information, visit www.abamex.com, or call (800) 841-3364.
