No Seller Fees at Bidjit.com

Bidjit.com has come out of beta testing and has launched its Live Auction platform through Proxibid. In addition to offering Live web-casting and static auctions, Bidjit.com now offers all sellers the opportunity to list their merchandise within its weekly live auction events.

“The writing is on the wall for the online auction market. If you want excel in this market, you first have to prove yourself and offer up plenty of bells and whistles. We want appeal to both buyers and sellers and the best way to start that relationship is to offer free listings. If a seller takes the time to list their merchandise and the item does not sell, they do not pay any fees. If their item sells within our timed auction format, we only expect a small transaction fee. In addition to offering timed (static) auctions, those who wish to place their merchandise into our live auction events may do so and will only pay a nominal transaction fee (and commission) if their item sells. We are offering a no risk partnership to all auction sellers, whether they sell through our static or live auction events” stated, Paul Fischer, COO of Bidjit.

Bidjit combines three areas for selling merchandise. They offer static auctions, live web-cast selling events and live auctions. Bidjit’s live web-cast events are broadcast on their homepage within the Fortuitous Finds box. “Our Fortuitous Finds box has a dual purpose. When it’s not broadcasting live broadcast events from our Tampa, Florida studios, it rotates newly listed items right on our homepage. In fact, our entire homepage is about selling our users merchandise” stated Fischer.

Can Bidjit compete in the current auction market? “I think there’s room for plenty of auction sites and those who offer the big bang without the buck, can make a go of it. The future is dependent upon the users and their decision to come into Bidjit and list their goods. Let’s face it, every site has a birthday and we just about to celebrate our first birthday. I think we’re in a position to make every day, week and month count toward a successful future, within a market that seeks calm, during turbulent times” stated Fischer.

Happy Hour Auctions At eBid.Net

From 24 November until 31 December, 2008 Happy Hour auctions will be held daily between 6pm - 10pm EST, featuring more of the best deals prominently placed on the homepage.

Happy Hour auctions coupled with eBid’s extended 50% off seller+ lifetime subscription promotion, unlimited free listings and low final value fee, means sellers can list items at knock-down prices for cash strapped shoppers to beat the economy and grab a bargain. Additionally, by automatically entering into eBid’s Buddy Points Loyalty rewards program, buyers and sellers can begin racking up their points to spend across a selection of eBid’s own listed items such as cash back offers or the latest TVs and MP3 Players.

According to internet monitoring firm, Hitwise, with the current economic climate, price sensitivity is driving more visitors to websites. Over the past twelve months, online searches for the term “second hand” have increased by 22%. Online spending is expected to rise to 10% of total retail sales by 2010.

Says eBid.net co-founder, Mark Wilkinson: “We are pleased to offer this promotion as we know from our ever increasing user base, closing sales and general chatter among the internet communities, that shoppers are now looking for holiday bargains as they continue to tighten their purse strings and look for heavily discounted or second hand items.”

To drive new customers to its site and create a buzz about its business, eBid has kicked off a radio, online and outdoor advertising campaign across the US which began in November and will run through ‘09.
