Genco, Gem Affair & AIE Launch B2C Auction Sites on Bidtopia.com

Genco, Gem Affair and AIE have established B2C stores on online auction site, Bidtopia.com. Each has teamed up with Bidtopia to bring discount merchandise directly to the consumer, bypassing traditional liquidators and middle men.

“We are excited to see this mixture of Power Sellers, PeSA (Professional eBay Sellers Alliance) members and Reverse Logistics Liquidators begin to use our exchange,” says Paul St James, CTO of Warehouse86. “We are looking forward to the future of Bidtopia and all of the other exciting announcements we have in the pipeline.”

Genco is America’s largest wholesale liquidator of retail returns and closeouts, selling more than $5 million daily of high-quality inventory, which is below the wholesale price retailers pay. Customers can find Genco products for sale by individual piece in an online store on Bidtopia.com called “NoBetterDeal.”

Gem Affair has been in the jewelry business for nearly 15 years, specializing in providing high volume liquidation merchandise directly to the consumer. They have completed more than 150,000 transactions of fine gemstone and diamond jewelry (from 1/10th carat to 10) through online marketplaces, such as eBay, Amazon and, now, Bidtopia. While Gem Affair typically does not use the auction format, they are selling hundreds of items at 50 to 70 percent off retail using a fixed-price liquidation strategy.

“Bidtopia.com was designed by sellers for sellers,” say Mike Jansma, CEO of Gem Affair. “They have displayed a tremendous propensity to be business friendly.”

AIE Video Games is a wholesale supplier of remanufactured video game systems, such as Xbox, Wii, PSPs and Sony Playstation, and also have a huge inventory of the most current game titles. They have processed and sold hundreds of thousands of units and have chosen to expand their web footprint to the Bidtopia marketplace using a combination of no-reserve auctions and fixed-price items.

“Bidtopia not only provided an alternative online auction platform, but they handled all of the heavy lifting, including inventory integration, templates, training and inventory file uploads,” states Brian Hoolahan, CEO of AIE Games.”

The appeal of Bidtopia for these industry vendors is the new technology recently added to Bidtopia’s seller options, which allow larger volume sellers to liquidate merchandise. A new CSV upload process allows users to upload large quantities of inventory by clicking onto an Excel spreadsheet. Users can also upload customized templates with ‘item specifics’ by a simple point-and-click. Lastly, a newly released version of the Bidtopia API allows sellers a host of new and advanced features.

Unlike other on-line auction sites, all Bidtopia auctions start at 99 cents and have no reserves. This means that the buyer sets the true price and value of the merchandise. To enhance the online auction experience for both sellers and buyers, Bidtopia is releasing an entirely new website and user interface which is expected to launch later this summer.

Bidtopia is part of Warehouse86 Ventures, LLC, the leader in a group of offerings that provides innovative e-commerce solutions for the diverse vertical needs of the reverse logistics and liquidation industries. Warehouse86 Ventures, LLC also includes reverse logistics solution, Warehouse86; warehouse management system, The Gavel; and online liquidator, Bargainland.
