Leslie Hindman has Auctioneers announced an auction featuring over 75 lots of early Italian and Latin literature from the antiquarian book library of John Sisto of Berwyn, Illinois. The books, maps and engravings comprise what remains of the over 3,500 items seized by the Chicago division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2007, of which 1,600 items were repatriated to Italy after being deemed unlawfully imported.

Works by Husband and Wife Artists Who Fell in Love with Suffolk Coast to be SoldA collection of paintings by the devoted husband and wife artists, Lionel Bulmer and Margaret Green are to feature in the Modern Pictures auction at Bonhams, Knightsbridge on 23rd March at 2pm. A first edition of the much loved children’s classic, Wind in the Willows, inscribed by Kenneth Grahame to the daughter of the man who inspired the character of Ratty, is among the star lots offered at Bonhams Printed Books, Maps and Manuscripts sale at New Bond Street on 23 March.
