Back to the Future Hoverboard on eBay

The original hoverboard used by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future 2 is for auction on eBay.

The description says.

“957. Michael J. Fox “Marty Mcfly” hero Mattel hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II & Part III. (Universal Pictures, 1989, 1990) This is one of the hero Mattel Hoverboards used by Michael J. Fox in his most famous role as “Marty McFly” in the Robert Zemeckis classic 80s trilogy, Back to the Future. Two styles of Hoverboard were made for and employed in the film – lightweight boards of styrofoam construction and thick and durable wood-based props – this example is the latter, and is recognized as the best example of all wood Hoverboards to have survived the rigors of filming. The illusion of Michael J. Fox as “Marty McFly” hovering through the air was achieved with practical effects, with actors in rigged harnesses being “flown” via cranes, with special effects taking care of the rest.

Of the two styles of props used in the film – styrofoam and wood – the styrofoam examples in collections today have not held up as well, given the more fragile nature of the material and the abuse they endured in production. Few wood examples have survived, and the collector who obtained this specimen from the prop master chose this for his personal collection as the premiere example of those preserved following the film. It is in used but outstanding condition, and is very rare in that it is entirely complete and intact. Given the wood build and use of metal components, it looks and feels like a “real” prop. This piece has the complete fully functional and rear ballbearing-mounted footpad that rotates 360 degrees, as well as the bottom “magnet plates”. Of the two styles of stickers used for the effects, this prop has the “photoboard”-style sticker affixed. In addition, there is other textured styling and hand painting. This Hoverboard also features the hole in the top, representing where the handlebars were that “Marty” pulled off after borrowing the “toy” from the little girl in the film. $30000 - $50000″

Namibia Wildlife Auctions

The Namibian government holds wildlife auctions every two years to raise funds to be used in conserving and managing protected areas.

“Our wildlife are proudly making a contribution to wildlife sectors in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, the U.S., Nigeria and other countries as Namibia has become a major player in the wildlife industry, not only through auctions like this, but through targeted donations to sister countries to help revive dwindling populations,” said Kalumbi Shangula, an official in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

The money raised at this year’s auction, would be deposited into the Game Products Trust Fund, which was created to channel revenues from wildlife products into conservation and community development programs, Shangula said.

Initon introduces new software to increase sales by relisting items automatically on eBay

Initon has announced new Aerolister Pro 7 3.4 software to make sellers’ daily work easier and more comfortable on eBay.
Its primary purpose is to automate the relisting of expired items. Aerolister improves unsold / sold item ratio by up to 20% generating larger profit than manually relisting the items. Depending on the size of a business, the number of listings can range from hundreds to tens of thousands per week.

Major risk in listing comes from wasting the sellers’ time with long-drawn workflows. Aerolister Pro 7 is automated to spare valuable time with automatically relisting, feedback sending and other administrative activities.

Now further reduces this risk by providing real time visibility of all change activity. Initon also introduced this eBay compatible application to quickly check the current status of auctions via a friendly and familiar user interface.

By installing on the computer, it runs faster and it is more secure than a web-based solution. This new application is offering an easily manageable interface, which is very similar to the eBay, do not need to learn anything new to start using the program. Easy to use for beginners and inexperienced eBayers, as well.

Aerolister is designed to carry out all the routine duties sellers face during their regular work with eBay – in a faster, easier and less painful manner than any other tools.

Initon (www.initon.hu) is dedicated to provide high quality IT services based on internal research and development activities. The main profile of the company is the development of multi-user business applications. The most important company values all employees cherish during their daily work are customer-centered thinking, expertise and the need for continuous professional self-development, trustworthiness and dynamism.
